Kamilla Arku, my buddy from my time back at Yale, is a deep, sensitive pianist, and a brilliant musical omnivore – she jumps easily from baroque to romantic, modernist to ferociously minimal. I’m so pleased that she’ll be sharing my piece Barnacles (check out my post on that piece here) in Warrington on May 2nd alongside such cool folks as Chopin, Debussy, Fauré, and Margaret Bonds. Or, if you’re around London in July, check out the same program at St. Martin in the Fields on July 17th. I wish I could be there to hear her beautiful playing!
